Ponte Vecchio, Florence

The old bridge or the GOLD bridge as an elderly gentleman from Boston called it, is just a bridge with loads of shops on both sides of the road.  It is probably one of the busiest pedestrian bridges in Florence, but I didn’t see many buying, which could account for the grumpy shopkeepers.

All around this area you can find people leaving padlocks on the railings, although this is illegal there are not many who pay heed to the signs posted about. It would be nice if  people came back and unlocked them when the relationship went down the toilet. That would clean the place up a bit.
